North Herts Football Academy Programme - Assistant Coach

Watford FC's Community Sports and Education Trust is seeking to recruit a motivated and committed individual to this part-time role. Duties of the role will be carried out during college term times (32 weeks) and will equate to 12 hours per week.
 
This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the football elements of a post 16 education and football programme which  is run in partnership  with North Herts college at their Hitchin campus. The focus of the Academy is to develop the players on the pitch, whilst making sure the students are on top of their academic work. You may also be required to support staff for away fixtures although the main body of work will be delivered at North Herts college 3G Astroturf, based in Hitchin.
 
Core days are Monday-Wednesday and Friday. Core hours will be 2:30pm-5:30pm, but some flexibility will be required to fit around fixture demands some Wednesdays and Fridays.
 
There will also be extra hours available coaching on our North Herts Player Development Centre on Monday evenings.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
 
• Experience of coaching young adults and young people.
• Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football although we would welcome applications from a Level l Coach who Is working towards their Level 2 award.
• Valid FA Emergency First Aid Certificate
• Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
• A passion to  make a difference through sport and education.

North Herts Football Academy Programme - Matchday Physio

Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust in partnership with North Herts college, are looking to recruit a Matchday Physio for their Wednesday & Friday National Football Youth U19 League games (Home fixtures only)
 
The ideal candidate will have:
• a minimum qualification of FA Level 4 ITMMiF /Sports Therapy BSc or Physiotherapy Degree. (or working towards)
• Ideal for a current university student looking for hands on experience
 
With approx 18 home fixtures this coming season, all fixtures are based at the North Herts college campus in Hitchin on their 3G AstroTurf.
 
Payment will be a fixed rated per game.
 
Most fixtures require a 1.30pm kick off and you will be required for 2 hours per fixture, minimum.

Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust are looking for a highly skilled & motivated person to join our Positive Minds Delivery Team, helping to deliver educational and sports based mental health sessions. 
 
Responsibilities Include;
• Delivering educational and sport based mental health sessions within schools.
• Liaising with stakeholders and local partners to develop constructive session plans.
• Building strong relationships with schools, children, local partners and other positive minds tutors.
• Creating fun, engaging and interactive sessions.
• Providing support and guidance to children attending sessions, identifying and referring where additional support may be required.
• Being a positive role model to teachers and students.
• Engaging, motivating and inspiring people towards achieving their goals.
 
The ideal candidate will have;
• A sound knowledge of common mental health issues and their link with physical activity.
• Experience of working with children or young people with functional mental health problems.
• Experience of developing resources for sport, physical activity or mental health programmes.
• Experience of delivering training and/or workshops to children and young people.
• Demonstrable ability to use own judgement and creativity to assess situations, solve challenges and adapt to new ways of working.
• Current Emergency Aid and Safeguarding qualification.
• Other relevant National Governing Body sports coaching qualifications.
• A full and valid UK Driving License as well as access to a vehicle.

Sessional Coach

Do you want to make a positive difference to young peoples’ lives?  Do you want to play a vital part in an ever growing organisation coaching a range of football-based sessions to a variety of audiences?

Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust deliver over 200 hours of coaching sessions and community activity across a wide range of educational, fun and engaging sport based programmes per week and we are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative and committed football coaches to join our team to help support this delivery across Hertfordshire and Harrow. 

The types of football sessions include:

• Curriculum and after school sessions

• Holiday course and matchday events

• Girls and women’s specific projects 

• Disability multi-sports activities

The ideal candidate will have:

• FA Level 1 (or above) in Football Coaching

• FA Safeguarding 

• FA First Aid

Applicants will need have a flexible approach to work, with evening and weekend projects a possibility. This position is for a casual worker, with hours varying according to assignments.
